We’ve all been there — you’ve just done an entire face, only for it to rub onto your clothes and leave a noticeable mark as you get ready.
However, that may be a thing of the past now as a TikToker has revealed her simple hack to prevent your clothes from picking up powder, lipstick and more.
Alicia Baily, better known as @aliciabaily on the social media site, often shares videos about her life as a mother with her followers.
But one of her latest offerings is dedicated to providing a solution to the all-too-familiar beauty problem – and it’s already garnered over 3000 likes.
Alongside a short video revealing her trick, Alicia wrote, “Useful quick hack to prevent makeup getting on your clothes.”
She then demonstrated her simple method, showing that people only need a can of hairspray and about 20 minutes of waiting for it to work.
Holding up the beige blazer she was about to put on, Alicia explained, “Spray hairspray around the cleavage.”
She continued to lift the lid on the two-step process and said, “Wait 10/20 minutes before you put it on.
As her followers flocked to the comments section and said they would follow in her footsteps and try the technique for themselves, others questioned why it was so effective.
Alicia replied, “Stop that makeup sticking!” before responding that it works just as well on any color and saying, “I use it on my white blazer and white tops.”
Many were grateful that Alicia shared her tip and celebrated the fact that they never had to deal with the issue again.
One wrote: “What really. Thank you for sharing. Orange collars are a nightmare. Nice jacket. Before I knew it, I would have left it in the store – too easy.”
A second commented: “Bought this exact jacket and will be buying another because the collar is made up. I wish I had seen that.”
A third said: “No way is this working?? My clothes are always ruined by makeup.”
