Numerous anecdotes are circulating on the Internet that show people’s frustration when dealing with homeowners’ associations. Now, TikTok user Toni (@bad_b1tchh) has a frustrating HOA story of her own that’s quickly going viral.
In the clip, she describes how the HOA falsely accused her household of leaving their bins outside for three days before bringing them back inside. Toni says that wasn’t the case, and explains how she methodically disassembled her “evidence” that her bins were said to have been outside.
The TikToker claims that the HOA sent her a letter in the mail that included a photo of “her” trash cans outside her home. However, Toni clearly commented on her photo and clearly showed that they mistook another resident’s house for their own. She then provides a series of time-stamped surveillance cameras showing her neighbor’s trash cans, her husband bringing out her own bins, and her husband putting them back in the same day.
Toni also shares her response to the HOA’s letter in the video with a letter of her own, flat out telling the organization to be more diligent and not bother them if they can’t get their facts straight.
She also tells the HOA that her false accusations of not following her rules are causing her family undue stress as they just witnessed the tragic loss of their 6-year-old son.
“So yes I will be returning these pictures along with her picture in my little note I wrote to her office to let her know that if they do commit a breach they better be right and get it to the right person forward.” She says. “Because I’m not the one to mess with.”

Crowds of TikTokers in the video’s comments expressed their condolences for Toni’s loss while also praising her meticulousness in suppressing the HOA’s false claims.
One user wrote: “Sorry for your loss, these are the correct receipts.”
Another user thought she should have sent an invoice to the HOA for forcing them to deal with the false claim, writing: “I would give you an invoice for the paper, ink, postage and a Send fee for “false allegation” . I doubt they would pay but it would make a point.”
