I worked at McDonald’s – the way chicken nuggets are cooked is REALLY gross, but I still eat them

A FORMER McDonald’s employee has revealed what happens when you don’t cook the fast food restaurant’s famous nuggets properly – and it’s pretty gross.

Despite this, he said he would still eat them.

Taking to social media, Christian W. Poole, who is said to have worked at the fast food chain, said on TikTok: “I want this to be public knowledge.

“So I worked at McDonald’s for almost two years, so I got my time done, but the last year that I worked at McDonald’s, I was a chef.

“I’ve made a lot of McDonald’s food — it’s all pretty basic, I mean, it’s all kind of bad for you, but the process of cooking it is pretty standard, except for one damn item that happens to be my favorite: Chicken McNuggets.”

He explained that the nuggets are already pre-packaged and frozen until needed.

To cook them you just have to put them in a fryer, which is then put in hot oil.

“However, if a nugget is half cooked in oil and half still frozen, it will blow around the seam of cooked and uncooked,” he claimed.

“Right, kitty! They’re tasty though, so I’d still eat them if I’m being honest.”

The US Sun has reached out to Mcdonald’s for comment but has received none at the time of publication.

McNuggets aren’t the only ones who react this way to undercooked food.

A Burger King employee claimed the same thing happens to their nuggets if they’re not cooked properly.

However, many people expressed their disgust when one person said, “WHY WOULD YOU SAY THAT?

“WHY DID YOU DECIDE THAT SHOULD BE PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE?”

A second wrote: “I worked there in the late 90’s.

There’s nothing I wouldn’t eat, but my desire to eat at McDonald’s has greatly diminished after those two and a half years.”

And a third expressed a desire to “turn off” the video.

Despite this, many still didn’t care, claiming they still eat them.
