MCDONALD’S is known for its crispy French fries and famous Egg McMuffins.
For some reason, everything at McyDee’s tastes better than other fast food chains, even the coffee.
A former McDonald’s employee named Michael Ryan revealed that there’s a reason their food and drinks are so tasty and addictive — it’s all down to the science.
Posting on his TikTok account @evilglitterqueen, Michael began, “McDonald’s you think they’re just fast food and s*** but they have so much science behind everything.”
His first example was the straws they use.
“Your straw at McDonald’s is bigger. Do you know why it’s bigger? Because it allows more carbonation to hit the tongue and makes the soda taste better.
“That’s why the little straws of 7/11 suck.”
As for their grilled chicken, it tastes so rich because it’s in:
“Your grilled chicken is injected with a saltwater mixture to keep it moist but also flavorful.”
Besides the width of the straws, there’s another reason why your soda tastes so good:
“McDonald’s actually commissions Coke for their own syrup recipe. That’s why their coke has a little more sugar and a lot more flavor.”
Her creamy and satisfying ice cream isn’t an afterthought either:
“Their ice cream machine is made from whole whipped cream and is cleaned once a week.”
And finally, we can finally understand why these Chicken McNuggets taste so much better than all the others:
“Tyson actually makes her chicken nuggets. They aren’t actually that processed, they are made by Tyson and are privately marked.
Viewers were stunned by the discoveries:
“This saltwater mix is really awesome. A brine for your chicken?” wrote one person.
“All I know is I have to have a Diet Coke from there every day because it’s the best,” added another.
A third said he saw similar ingenuity working on the chain: “Yo. I worked there. There’s even science behind the mustard. Every detail of your experience is fabricated.”
