I work at Nando and there’s a question I get asked so many times it’s driving me insane

IT IS a fast-paced work environment and Alicia needs to keep on her toes.

And while she generally loves working at Nando, she hates having to constantly ask clients.

“Please indicate your chosen condiment when ordering from Nando,” she wrote on TikTok over a video of herself in her work uniform.

“I’m one ‘how hot’ away from quitting my job.”

Alicia’s video has been viewed over 450,000 times since she posted it, and many of the comments came from Nando waiters who are also fed up with similar situations.

“‘What table?’ ‘uhhhh idk’ logistically how do you think the food is going to get to you?” commented one.

While another added: “And when we ask ‘what spices’ please don’t tell me your sides.”

“Last week I asked a customer, ‘How sharp do you want your wings to be?’ She said ketchup,” sighed a third.

“When people ask ‘mild or extra mild’ i.e. plain or lemon and herbs???” someone else wrote.

“Which pages would you like?” ‘What size???????’ I actually want to cry,” another person commented dramatically.

The problem extended to other restaurants as well, as someone else commented, “Asking people if they wanted chilli garlic or salt on their edamame was one of the reasons I left Wagamamas. Solidarity.”

And another chimed in: “When I used to work at McDonald’s, people would let me ask what size of meal and what drink they would like to have with their meal.

“It would make my blood boil, brother.”

“And at KFC you don’t ask for a burger, please specify which burger,” said another.
