With TikTok, the Aldi employee started by reminding people to always bring a quarter as it’s the only way to give you access to a shopping cart.

DESTROYED GRAPES

As soon as you pack your shopping cart, you should make sure your food gets home safely.

When you buy grapes, hang them on the back of the shopping cart seat to do so.

It will lift them up and prevent them from being crushed with other heavier objects.

PREVENTING OBJECTS FROM FALLING

If there is no child sitting in the shopping cart seat, make sure to lift the plastic to cover the leg holes.

This way you can put more fragile items on the seat and they won’t fall out of your shopping cart.

FORGOTTEN BAGS?

If you forgot to bring reusable bags and don’t want to pay fees for using plastic or paper bags, you can just grab a box!

“Aldi employees don’t mind at all,” Rowland wrote.

This way you can easily get all your items in your car and home without spending a single penny.

After her video, many people took to the comments section to say how much they have always appreciated the boxes.

One woman wrote, “Nice you used the box hack!”

However, some other employees asked people to actually unload their boxes when paying for their products.

“Don’t just put the box full of stuff on the tape when checking out,” one woman wrote. “Take that stuff out first.”

And a second said: “I really hate the box hack as a cashier.

“People pack most things in the smallest boxes and won’t unload them to skip the packing counter.”

And a third even shared her gardening hack: “My family always gets the boxes to put our stuff in and then we take them down and use them as a weed barrier in our yard.”

Cardboard is an effective weed killer because it creates a barrier and doesn’t allow them to grow out of the flower bed.
