I went to Turkey and paid £2.8k for a Hollywood smile – now I’ve lost feeling in my face and look like the elephant woman

A MOTHER who went to Turkey for a cheap ‘Hollywood smile’ has major regrets after her body started ‘rejecting’ her new teeth.
Amanda Turner has been keeping people updated on her progress on her TikTok page after signing up for £2,809 dental crowns and root canal surgery.

Since the surgery in Istanbul 10 weeks ago, she has had “nothing but problems” and ended up losing feeling in her lip and face up to her temple, prompting her to schedule an emergency dentist appointment.
“I can’t believe I thought it would solve my problems,” she sobbed in a video on TikTok.
“And it only made things worse.”
When someone in the video asked if the dentist in Turkey would help, Amanda insisted she “never expected” them to help because they treated her so badly when she complained about her procedure.

“It’s been 10 long weeks. My advice to anyone wanting to do that would be, ‘What price are you willing to pay?’” she sighed.
“And I don’t mean money, I mean your pain threshold because it’s agony. I’m not joking.
“Every day I feel like a fucking king giving up. Today more than other days, but you have to keep going.”
After seeing the dentist, she was given more antibiotics – her fifth and sixth treatments in the past 10 weeks.
The swelling got worse and started affecting her throat, after which Amanda decided to take herself to the emergency room.
“The swelling is absolutely awful, the pain is awful,” she said.
“But there’s not much they can do for me. Basically, they think it’s inflammation.
“It’s not an abscess. That’s my body repelling whatever that’s in my mouth.”
Her gum was punctured at the hospital to get rid of some of the pus, but licensed doctors told her she may never get the feeling in her lip again.
“The thought of never getting that feeling back in my face is scary,” she said, unable to hold back her tears.
“It’s not worth it, honest to God, it’s not. If I could turn back time I would never have gone.
“If I had seen the videos I post from someone else, I would never have gone.”
Amanda – who joked that she looked like an “elephant woman” – was also told the swelling may not go down completely and she won’t be able to go to London to have her teeth fixed until the swelling goes down.
