A MUM has revealed how she tried to make her daughter proud during her school sports day – but ended up wowing the crowd.
Katie Hannaford, 36, was red-faced after her eight-year-old convinced her to enter the parents’ race last week.
Shortly after the whistle blew, the ecstatic Katie tripped and went head over heels on the lawn in hilarious footage shared online.
To make matters worse, the poor mum’s dress flew over her head – exposing her PANTIES to shocked onlookers.
Luckily, homewares company owner Katie saw the funny side, describing her trip as “hilarious.”
She said: “I’m not athletic at all, but [my daughter] kept begging me.
“In the end I agreed to the race – I knew I would be last.
“I just tripped over my own feet – I think my body was just moving too fast for my legs!
“I’m so clumsy, I always fall down.
“I was humiliated then, but it is what it is!
“I flashed my underwear, which of course is embarrassing, but you just have to own it.
“Looking back, it’s hilarious – definitely the funnest thing I’ve ever done in my life!”
Sharing the clip online herself, Katie added: “When the kids got more than they bargained for at sports day! Haha.
“If you can’t laugh at yourself, then what’s life about?
“Sorry kiddos and everyone else watching!”
