Fashion brand FAST Shein offers stunning bargains on the latest trends.
A fashion influencer spent $500 on over 60 pieces of clothing, and she was surprised to find that most of the outfits exceeded expectations — with a few exceptions.
With over 126,000 YouTube subscribers and 786,000 followers on TikTok, fashion vlogger Rosa Elizabeth Carcamo has made a huge impact — especially for women who, like her, are petite and struggle to find fashionable clothes.
When Carcamo received her $500 Shein shipment in the mail, she was nervous about unpacking and trying on all the pieces she’d bought.
“I got tops that I wouldn’t wear before,” Carcamo warned viewers. “Most of the clothes I got took me out of my comfort zone.”
She also confessed that she was in dire need of new clothes for herself as she stopped buying clothes “a long time ago”.
Hence the $500 yield. “I needed some,” Carcamo said. Their grand total was originally $650, but a coupon dropped it to $491.
Carcamo started unpacking dozens of pieces she’d bought, including tank tops, crop tops, swimsuits and pants, and some graphic tees for her boyfriend Julian.
Trying on the crop tops and halternecks, Carcamo was relieved to find that most of them fit perfectly.
“I’m glad I have everything in an extra small size,” she told viewers. The first item in her swag that didn’t fit perfectly was a button-down rib-knit T-shirt, which she paid $7 for.
“That’s a little loose,” Carcamo remarked, showing the slight gap around her chest and waist and how loosely the top hung from her shoulders.
As she continued to try on her new outfits, Carcamo set up a time-lapse camera montage and commented at various points as she tried on the clothes.
The first item to get a definite thumbs down was a printed romper with a cut-waist and camisole neckline.
Even with an adjustable drawstring at the top of the neckline, the romper didn’t fit snugly on Carcamo’s body, making it look baggy.
Carcamo also had to cover her chest out of modesty while trying on some shirts because of the thin, sheer fabric.
There were also a couple of wrap tops that she didn’t try on at all.
“I honestly don’t even know how they walk,” Carcamo said, adding that when she was trying to figure out how to wear the complicated shirts, she partially ripped out her navel piercing, causing it to bleed.
“Let’s leave that right there,” she said, pointing to the discarded shirts.”
Although she liked all the pants she bought, there was only one pair Carcamo could wear right away.
“Some of the jeans were a little too big,” Carcamo said, showing that the jeans and cargo pants were just too long. “My mom knows how to change pants, so I’ll take them to her.”
But the jean shorts she bought fit perfectly. The fashion influencer called them one of her favorite pieces from the Fang — and they’re just $15.
“I’ll order more when they have more colors,” she said.
Overall, Carcamo was happy with most of her haul, but most of all she was grateful that she wouldn’t have to shop for clothes again anytime soon.
“I got tired just standing there and trying everything on,” the blogger confessed.
