I potty train my five-week-old son, he already signals when he needs to go to the bathroom, but trolls say my efforts are useless

Training a child’s POTS can be a lengthy and often stressful process.

But one mum claims to have removed all the stress by teaching her five-week-old son to use the potty.

Jules shared an Instagram roll explaining how she got started and showing her baby Matteo when he signed to let her know he had to defecate.

“That’s when he lets it rip,” she said of a picture of him sulking with his fists clenched.

“I give a grunt to let him know I understand and ask if he needs to poop,” she said as she held him over the baby’s potty.

“He understood and started grunting and shoving.”

Matteo also lets his mom “know when he’s done.”

Finishing off with a shot of her baby lying on the floor, Jules said: “All emptied. Babies are amazing!”

She captioned her video: “Did you know you can potty train your child?

“It’s called Elimination Communication. We started Mateo at 4 weeks. Now he waits until the potty before he gets a BM (defecation).

“It’s pretty amazing! Pee is harder to catch, but we caught the poops!

“That way Mateo doesn’t have to be uncomfortable in a dirty diaper, we waste fewer diapers and save more money.”

While some people praised Jules for potty training Matteo at just five weeks old, others didn’t see the point.

“I see no point in it! ZERO! 5 weeks?!?” one wrote.

“Um why is he 5 weeks old he doesn’t even understand the importance of potty training but I swear what is a baby pressured for????” added another.

A third commented: “Babies can’t even be babies anymore. We have to rush everything.”

“Stop it let baby be a baby…gosh,” wrote another.

“If the heck is the baby gonna just be a baby…this ninja has to work right out of the womb…like relax…” added another.

However, others argued Jules did an excellent job of teaching Matteo how to use the potty at such a young age.
