I laughed out loud at my brother’s baby name – he’s fuming but it sounds like male genitals

WHEN naming a tot one can take inspiration from anywhere, resulting in some pretty unique names.

One man’s baby name choice was so eccentric his siblings thought they had to be joking.

A poster, which is called @WashedOutTo_Sea on social media, took to Reddit to find out if they were at fault, explaining that his sister-in-law and brother are expecting a baby girl.

They decided to hold a family reunion to mainly talk and discuss baby names.

They said that initially all the names seemed fine and normal.

“There were a couple of suggestions I thought of [were] weird like Hermione, those names with unnecessary ‘Leigh’ but they were still meh but then it happened,” they said.

“My brother suggested the names Chica, Mangle, and I kind of forgot the last one, but I think it was Ballora?”

At first they laughed, thinking her brother was joking, but in fact he was serious.

The brother got mad at them for laughing, so the event ended early.

Now some family members say they are wrong when they laugh.

The poster said they felt bad and acknowledged that her brother liked those names because they were based on video game characters.

People in the comment sections shared their opinion on the matter.

With a strong poise, someone wrote, “Not everyone has to have Sarah/John/etc. are called, but parents shouldn’t discriminate against their kids for a name they think is cool or whatever. Be thoughtful.”

Another person with a similar opinion said: “You’re just watching over this baby.

“An obvious fandom name like this is going to be very unusual and quickly become outdated and weird.

“It’s so ridiculous I can’t blame you for taking it for a joke.”

“You reacted like most people did. My brother seriously wants to name his daughter Blade!” another person added.

“If someone told me they were thinking about these names, I’d assume they were joking too,” said a recent person.
