I got a text from a stranger

A WOMAN was left horrified after receiving a text message from a guy who got her number in the creepiest way.

The dog owner had been walking her pet when a stranger stopped to pet her pooch – but little did she know he had taken notice of her personal details.

The anonymous woman shared a screenshot of the text she received from the “creepy” man just hours after meeting him.

It said, “Hey, I got your phone number from your dog’s collar. Thanks for letting me pet her. We should meet. :)”

As disturbing as that text was, the sender wasn’t finished and followed up with two more messages less than five hours later.

They wrote: “Hello?

“Why do you even have your number on her collar if you don’t want people texting you? What the hell is that joke.”

Of course, the woman had her number on the dog’s collar in case she went missing so that her owner could be contacted if she was found.

The news has since been shared on Reddit, where it has left people stunned.

One commented on the post, writing, “This is the next level creep.”

Another added: “If you’re getting bad vibes or they’re staring at your dog’s collar for a little too long, you need to go.”

“Oh I don’t like that,” added a third.

A fourth commented: “Ewwwwww. I would change my phone number so quickly.”
