I get trolled for naming my baby after a “fart” – but our second child is even WORSE

BABY names are a personal, sentimental decision, so most parents don’t welcome suggestions when deciding what to name their child.
However, there are some circumstances where strangers feel pressured to step in, as a mother learned when she revealed a plan to name her two children after “farts”.

Abbie Herbert and her husband Josh have been criticized in the past for what they call their one-year-old daughter.
Though her real name is Poppy, the Herbert family — and their combined 14.5 million TikTok followers — refer to the baby as Poot.
“You’re naming kids, not babies,” wrote one commenter on a video of Poot. “Keep that in mind when these kids are in middle school.”
“Why didn’t you give her a nice name?” another questioned.

Those who don’t like the Herberts’ parenting choice will be unhappy to know that the couple intends to continue the naming convention.
In fact, the couple is actively trying to have another baby and they have already chosen a name for their second child.
“We got hatred for naming our daughter Poot,” Abbie wrote in a video.
As she and Josh danced across the screen with their daughter, the couple’s cheeky revelation appeared in the captions.
“They have no idea we plan to name baby number two Tooty Herbert,” the mother revealed.
In the comments, critical viewers immediately dismissed the name.
“When they grow up people will make fun of them,” wrote one viewer.
“When they grow up? You mean so,” another person replied.
“Tooty legit means silent fart,” protested one commenter, adding lots of skull and crossbones and laughing emojis.
“What about Jessica or something,” was one pithy suggestion.
Referring to Abbie and Josh’s stated goal of having eight children, one commenter suggested a rhyming naming scheme.
“Poot Toot Root and Scoot,” they rattled off, generously naming half of the couple’s desired brood.
And if the couple has twins, they can easily adjust their plans.

“Twins will be named Tutti and Frutti,” wrote one viewer.
Thankfully, the Herberts seem unfazed by the criticism, and Abbie even admitted that family members often acknowledge the criticism, calling poot a “fart” as a joke.
