Excited to find an iconic Kylie Jenner outfit for sale online, a KARDASHIAN fan took to social media to share her excitement.
But commenters were uncomfortable with the sexy silhouette being passed on to a used owner.
Victoria Illingworth has 27,000 loyal followers on TikTok. When she scored the beauty mogul’s jumpsuit on Kardashian Kloset, she shot a video to let them know.
Illingworth promised to check out the outfit upon arrival and shared snaps of Kylie in the pink playsuit.
“This is Kylie Jenner’s Instagram page,” Illingworth said. She pointed to a series of three photos from 2019 that showed a neon pink jumpsuit with side and belly cutouts.
“I just bought it,” she told her followers, “and now it will be mine!”
Illingworth confirmed in a comment that she paid $75 for the jumpsuit, which was a bargain: the Death by Dolls outfit is listed online at a retail price of $680.
Some of Illingworth’s fans were thrilled to see the outfit on her, while others were shocked that the item was even for sale.
The high-waisted sides left little to the imagination—and it certainly wasn’t the kind of outfit that welcomed supportive, full-coverage underwear.
Big Kardashian fans urged Illingworth not to wash the garment or otherwise disturb Kylie’s essence on it.
“If she hasn’t washed it, you’d better never get it dirty or wash it,” warned one.
“You would hope she didn’t wash it,” another person commented, along with a grimace emoji.
Some viewers focused on the gross aspects of the outfit being performed, while others were appalled at the outfit’s discounted price.
“I found this outfit at a thrift store,” one person wrote. “It’s from Fashion Nova.” Similar styles at Fashion Noval range from $7.98 to $34.
“I’m not sure if this is satire or not,” said another commenter.
But as promised, when the jumpsuit arrived, Illingworth modeled it for her followers – confirming some viewers’ worst fears.
“I absolutely fell in love with this outfit as soon as I opened the package,” Illingworth said. She showed off the playsuit which fitted perfectly.
When she opened the package, Illingworth said, “It smelled like a person.”
“It didn’t smell like detergent,” said the delighted fan.
Whether the jumpsuit was dry cleaned after Kylie’s photoshoot or it was shipped as is, we’ll never know — and for all the trolling, the TikTok star was “starstruck” in owning the outfit herself.
