HIALEAH, Fla. – Hundreds of people exited a Hialeah Publix bound for Palm Beach on Saturday, showing their support for former President Donald Trump after federal agents executed a search warrant at his Mar-a-Lago estate on Monday.
FBI agents seized more than two dozen boxes from the estate, some of which contained documents marked “Top Secret.”
That warranty says federal agents are investigating possible violations of three different federal laws, including one that governs the collection, transmission or loss of defense intelligence under the Espionage Act.
People with signs and flags supporting the former president lined the road ahead of Saturday’s caravan, which started in the Republican stronghold of Hialeah.
“I think Donald Trump is the bait and no matter what they do, he’s five to eight steps ahead of them,” said supporter Dan Ray.
A grand jury must weigh the evidence and decide whether to indict Trump.
The FBI says it saw an increase in threats after the search.
