Two thugs wearing balaclavas reportedly chopped off a man’s hand in a horrific attack on a workers’ club.

A witness said she heard a “terrible squeak” before seeing the dislodged hand on the blood-splattered floor at the Deighton Working Men’s Club in Huddersfield yesterday afternoon.

“It was like something out of a horror movie,” the 50-something woman told Yorkshire Live.

“I heard him squeak in the smoking dugout and two boys in balaclavas dismembered him. I don’t usually get nightmares, but I think tonight I will.’

Then she saw someone pick up the hand and wrap it in a kitchen towel to “preserve” it.

“I heard he lost his hand over a 10 pound bag of weed,” she claimed, adding she believes there will be a “retaliation attack.”

West Yorkshire Police confirmed the suspects fled the scene and the victim was taken to hospital with a serious hand injury.

A spokesman said: “Police were called to a workers’ club in Deighton Road, Huddersfield, at around 5.27pm on Tuesday to report that a man had been seriously injured.

“Emergency services were at the scene and located the victim, who suffered leg injuries and a serious hand injury.

“It was reported that he had been attacked outside the pub by two men who had walked away from the scene.”
