To record a Zoom meeting, you must be the host or have permission from the host. click More, then select Recording.

By default, Zoom only allows the host to initiate a recording. So once you have your meeting set up and started, click More, then select Record on this computer.

You will then hear Zoom say “Recording” and see the red recording icon in the top left corner. click Break or Stop pause or stop recording at any time.

Record a Zoom meeting on the mobile app

Unfortunately, local recording is not supported on iOS and Android. However, if you have a paid subscription to Zoom, you can start cloud recording.

After you start your meeting as the host, tap More bottom right and select Start cloud recording.

How to manage recording permissions

As a host, you can assign recording rights to other participants in your meeting. click Attendees and click More next to the name of the person you want to allow to record your Zoom meeting. click allow recording.

You will then receive a notification about recording rights. When a participant is recording, you’ll see a red recording icon next to their name.

To disable the attendee’s ability to record, click More next to the name, and then click prohibit recording. They will then receive a notification that they can no longer record.

How to find recorded Zoom meetings

After you finish recording your meeting, the MP4 file of your recording will be downloaded to your computer once you end the meeting.

The file path should open automatically, but you can find it in your documents in the zoom folder if it doesn’t. The exact file path is as follows: C:\Users\Name\OneDrive\Documents\zoom\Date name zoom meeting.
