Developed and published by Stunlock Studios, V Rising is a new Early Access game that is rapidly gaining popularity on Steam. This vampire-themed MMORPG allows players to engage in PvP with full loot, as well as base building elements where they can design a castle and build crafting stations to progress further in the game. Here is How to get fishbones in V Rising?.
Unlock Fishing in V Rising
Before you can get fish bones, you must first unlock the fishing mechanic in V Rising. To do this, you simply have to play through the game until you defeat two bosses: Rufus the Foreman and Lidia the Chaos Archer.
You’ll encounter them as part of your quest progression, so just keep playing the game and you’ll eventually be tasked with defeating them. They’re at level 20 and 26 respectively, so they’re pretty manageable as long as you keep up with your gear upgrades.
Defeating them will reward you with the Fishing Rod recipe and the Devourer key item. You can then return to your castle to place the Devourer item and craft your first fishing rod.
Get Fishbones in V Rising
Now you can finally start growing your fishbones and it should be a fairly easy process.
- Craft your fishing rod.
The recipe calls for 8 planks, 4 copper ingots, and 4 coarse threads. You can craft it at your workbench.
- Go to any body of water in the open world and equip your fishing rod from the hotbar.
- Look for bubbles on the water surface and then right click on them to cast your line.
- Once the bubbles start to glow, spool them in by pressing the left mouse button.
- Bring the fish back to your base and feed it to the devourer.
This allows you to process the fish into resources, including fishbones.
What fishbones are used for
As you catch more fish in V Rising, you’ll slowly find that most of them will reward you with Fish Oil and Fish Bones. Fish oil can later be processed into leather, which is used to craft equipment. On the other hand, fishbones are meant to help you stock up on rats.
Once you’ve crafted a vermin nest, you can use the fishbones on the nest itself to create rats, which are used to craft and spawn the rot rat to gain access to the vampire’s rat form.
