YouTube has always been a one-stop shop for lengthy video content, but did you know you can also watch movies and shows on the platform? And not just the ones you find on YouTube, but movies you previously bought or even rented from Google Play or Google TV are available to you on YouTube.
This gives you quick and easy access to your content when you’re scrolling through videos and suddenly want to watch one of your favorite movies.
Luckily, finding your Play Store or Google TV streaming purchases on YouTube is pretty easy, but we’ll break it down for you so you know exactly where to go.
How to view your movies and TV purchases on YouTube
1. Open the YouTube app and beat the Library tab.
2. Beat “Your Movies and Shows.”
That’s it! You’ll be automatically taken to the Purchased tab, where you can view content you’ve purchased or rented from the Play Store or Google TV.
Meanwhile, the process is slightly different if you’re doing it from a computer or TV, but not much.
1. Open the YouTube app or website. Navigate to the navigation area on the left. You can do that on a computer click the hamburger menu in the upper-left corner to expand the menu (if you haven’t already).
2. Tap or clickk “Your Movies” or “Your Movies & Shows”.
Regardless of which Google service you bought your content for, it should be available in this section on mobile, desktop, or pretty much any of the best streaming devices.
You can also click through the other tabs to watch free movies (with ads) or just search for movies and shows to rent or buy directly on YouTube. It’s pretty handy if you want to watch the original avatar before the second film hits theaters in December.
Chromecast with Google TV
This is one of the best smart tv dongles you can buy. Google gives you access to many of your favorite streaming apps with helpful content recommendations from the Google Assistant.
