How many times has Boris Johnson been married?

Boris Johnson has been married three times, his third wife being his current wife Carrie Johnson née Symonds.

His first wife was Allegra Mostyn-Own and the couple met at the University of Oxford. The couple married in 1987 when they were 23 years old.

Allegra is the daughter of art historian William Mostyn-Owen and Italian writer Gaia Sevadio, who was reportedly opposed to the marriage from the beginning of their relationship.

They divorced in 1993 after just six years together and had no children.

The politician then married lawyer Marina Wheeler and the couple had four children together.

Marina is the daughter of BBC correspondent Sir Charles Wheeler and his wife Dip Singh.

Shortly after, the couple announced their separation, but the divorce was not finalized until May 2020.

Carrie was previously the communications expert working for the Conservative Party until 2018.

The Tory Party leader proposed in late 2019 and just months later the couple welcomed baby boy Wilfred Lawrie Nicholas Johnson in April 2020.

A little over a year later, they walked down the aisle and were married at Westminister Cathedral in May 2021.

In December of that year, they welcomed their second child and daughter, Romy Irish Charlotte Johnson.
