Enjoy the nice weather and seasonal temperatures in Utah on Monday and Tuesday – it’s going to be hot by the end of the week.
Southern Utah will be unusually hot throughout the week, according to the National Weather Service.
Temperatures in Salt Lake City are just below normal highs of 80-81 on Monday (78) and Tuesday (79). But things will heat up on Wednesday (88), Thursday (89) and Friday (90) before peaking at 96 on Saturday – which would be 14 degrees above normal. The record high for June 12 is 101, set in 1918.
After a few scattered showers Monday morning, no rain is forecast until Sunday, when there is a low chance of precipitation and temperatures drop back to the mid to high 80s.
It’s even going to be hot in Logan with temperatures of 93 on Saturday (17 degrees above normal) and in Park City, where Saturday’s forecast is 86 (15 degrees above normal).
Expect triple-digit temperatures in southern Utah for most of the week. In St George, the forecast high is 97 on Monday, which will be the coolest day of the week. It is 100 on Tuesday, 103 on Wednesday and Thursday, 107 on Friday and 103 on Saturday. The normal heights are 94-96.
No rain is forecast for southern Utah.
