Homicide is investigating the death of a woman following an attack in Perth’s CBD

Homicide investigators are investigating the death of a woman who collapsed in Perth CBD on Monday afternoon after being attacked.

WA Police confirmed the incident had occurred on Wellington Street just before 2pm when the woman collapsed near the Pier Street intersection.

told witnesses Nine News Perth The woman, believed to be a grandmother in her 50s, fell unconscious and collapsed before friends found her.

First responders attempted to revive the woman before paramedics arrived and took her to nearby Royal Perth Hospital. She died not long after.

“The woman is believed to have been involved in an altercation before she was found collapsed and Homicide detectives have opened an investigation,” a police spokesman said.

Detectives stayed at the scene trying to piece together the circumstances surrounding the woman’s injuries.
