Cash (Nicholas Cartwright) recently left Jasmine (Sam Frost) hurt and confused after she turned down her invitation to move in together. After leaving the call with no explanation, his only reason the next day was because he needed to be there for Felicity (Jacqui Purvis) — a justification Jasmine found hard to believe. He’s not moving away, just a house a few streets away from her!
Eventually, the two decide to call it a day and move on — but the issue is still sore. Cash, Jasmine and Felicity form a unit after news of a death shocks the community. Remaining on a loose end, Felicity is spending more time with the couple – but in doing so, she transcends her welcome by raising the question of ‘moving in’ again.
Cash and Jasmine obviously don’t feel comfortable talking about it, and Cash pulls Felicity aside, making it clear that she needs to stay out of it. However, Felicity has some words in return for her brother, saying the protective act is smothering her. Left with food for thought, Cash decides to put down his fear of moving in with Jasmine and give it a try.
He decides to mark his change of heart with what he considers a grand romantic gesture. He approaches Irene (Lynne McGranger) at the diner and asks her for a key to the house. Irene is happy – he and Jasmin have finally agreed to move in? Cash says no, they haven’t spoken about it since he stopped the idea. He secretly wants to move in with her and surprise her!
Irene refuses to give him a key and Cash is confused. However, Irene makes it clear that he can’t just move in without her permission. She’s not used to handing out keys to her house to anyone who asks! When Felicity hears about Cash’s idea, she’s on Irene’s side – far from being a great romantic idea, his suggestion sounds downright pushy…
