THIS is the hilarious moment a woman appears to nod off during tonight’s Platinum Jubilee Pageant.
Spectators watching the colorful extravaganza to mark the Queen’s 70th reign erupted after spotting the mystery guest seated behind Prince Charles with his eyes closed and his head cocked to the side.
The Prince of Wales enjoys the event outside Buckingham Palace in the Royal Box alongside the Duchess of Cornwall.
At one point, Charles got up to take it all in – but viewers at home were distracted by someone in the background.
Tash Crump, a marketing executive from Southampton, said: “The woman who fell asleep behind Prince Charles, to the point they had to change the camera angle, let us down, bless her!
“Sometimes you just need a nap.”
Another woman wrote on Twitter: “Someone wake up this lady, she’s been asleep for the last 15 minutes.”
And a third, Amanda Burt, chimed in, tweeting: “Gosh how embarrassed is this woman going to be when she realizes the world has noticed she fell asleep.”
Also in the box will be William and Kate and their children George, Louis and Charlotte as the Platinum Jubilee celebrations draw to a close.
They watched Her Majesty appear as a hologram inside the 240-year-old Gold State Coach as she drove down the Mall.
Cheeky Louis – who stole the show on Thursday’s performance on the palace balcony – was spotted beaming as he watched his great-grandmother walk past in digital format.
The ambitious £15million pageant follows a 3km route similar to that of the monarch’s coronation in 1953 and is divided into four acts.
These are – For Queen and Country with a military parade; The time of our lives through seven decades of culture, music and fashion; Let’s Celebrate tells the story of the Queen’s life in 12 chapters with corgi dolls and carnival creations; and the musical spectacle Happy and Glorious.
Celebrities travel in decorated, open-top, double-decker buses to the festivities, which are celebrated decade after decade.
Before that, a peloton of 300 cyclists, riding on vintage motorcycles dating from the seven decades of the Queen’s reign, rode down the Mall led by Sir Chris Hoy and cycling gold couple Dame Laura and Sir Jason Kenny.
And later, nearly 200 national treasures will take the stage to serenade the Queen by singing the national anthem at the grand finale of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
Stars including Sir David Jason, Harry Redknapp, Sir Cliff Richard, Sandie Shaw, Felicity Kendal, Joe Wicks and Holly Willoughby will join Ed Sheeran in a mass performance of God Save The Queen.
It is hoped that the monarch will appear on the palace balcony to wrap up the weekend, although this has not been confirmed.
