It’s that time of summer that many students have been anticipating/dreading all summer – The high school results day is finally here.

Many young people across the country will be nervously opening envelopes this morning as they find out if they have done enough to get accepted into the university of their choice.

This year, for the first time since before the pandemic, grades are based on year-end exams, as they returned for the first time last summer semester.

But when will these all-important results be released?

Here’s everything you need to know.

When will the high school results be released?

A-level results coming out today (Thursday, 08/18) and should be available at 8 o’clock.

Students can obtain A Level, AS Level and some national BTEC results. For the first time, T-level results will also be published on the same day.

T-Levels are a new technical qualification after GCSE, lasting two years and equivalent to three A-Levels.

Students divide their inclination between the classroom and internships in their chosen industry

They began in Fall 2020 and students will be awarded either a Passport, Merit, Commendation or Distinction*.

How do the students get their results?

There are several ways to get the results on the day.

The first is that students can all gather at their school or college to collect the results in person and congratulate/comfort each other at the opening.

However, other schools may only post results online, so it’s best to check with your school before visiting them for results.

Alternatively, for those who have applied for a university course, the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) will begin updating its systems from 8.15am.

It may take a few hours for the results to be updated on UCAS. So be patient if you don’t see your results at 8:15 AM.
