PRINCE Harry and Meghan were in such a rush to get away from the first day of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations that they missed the Red Arrows flyby over Buckingham Palace, reports say.
The couple – on a first visit to the UK together after quitting frontline royals – “rushed back” to Frogmore Cottage, their Windsor home, after the Trooping the Color ceremony.
It came after the Queen reportedly told Harry and Meghan she would not pose for a picture with their daughter Lilibet as Her Majesty had a bloodshot eye.
Her senior staff are said to have expressed fears a picture could be shared in the US, where Harry, 37, and Meghan, 40, have a multi-million pound deal with Netflix.
It was also reported yesterday in the Telegraph that the couple visited the Queen as a family the day before Trooping the Color.
It was previously assumed that the meeting took place afterwards.
It is also claimed that they turned down invitations to the Palace party and the Platinum Pageant.
A source said: “Harry and Meghan have been kept apart all weekend – and they haven’t made much effort to unfreeze relationships either.”
