Halloween spirit is in the air at Boo at the Zoo

ST. LOUIS – For people who want to get in the spirit of Halloween, Boo at the Zoo is back. Tickets for the event are sold out for both Friday and Saturday nights.
“We got on the train and saw some decorations. Then we drove over here and saw the skeletons and the big cat,” said Sydney Contreras.
“They can wear their costumes more than once when they’re trick-or-treating, which is nice. They also always like to look at the other costumes to see who’s dressed up as what,” said Billie Buhnerkempe.
To keep with the Halloween theme, families can watch the snakes, insects, dinosaurs, and stingrays.
“My favorite are the pumpkins. I just love it, we have a little pumpkin band that plays at the south entrance, we also have a giant pumpkin photo op at the south entrance. It’s our pumpkin spot, so it’s my favorite spot,” said Michael Jordan.
Jordan, the St. Louis Zoo’s director of special events, said families want to buy their tickets online before going to the zoo.
