Growhouse found after fire broke out at Broward’s home

OAKLAND PARK, Fla. – Firefighters found what appeared to be a marijuana grow house while responding to a fire in Broward County.

The fire broke out around noon on Thursday.

It happened in a semi-detached house along Northeast 33rd Street and 19th Avenue in Oakland Park.

According to the authorities, the fire was quickly extinguished.

Responders then found the smaller grow facility in one of the bedrooms.

According to the fire brigade, electrical cables were found running across the house.

No injuries were reported.

It is not yet known whether charges will be filed.
