Gordon Monson, a longtime sports columnist for the Salt Lake Tribune, often writes about first shots, double fouls, 3-pointers, and pocket-fours. He’s at home commenting on what’s going on on the basketball court, the soccer field, and the baseball diamonds.
Every once in a while, however, he enters another arena – that of religion. A practicing member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he has chosen to Observance of the Sabbath, Honor Code of BYU, even how Jesus can behave at a ball game.
In that spirit this past weekend, he suggested 20 reforms he would like to see his church implemented. On this week’s show, he discusses those recommendations on topics ranging from mission to money, Word of Wisdom to Sunday sports, tithing recommendations to temples, equal rights of women to the General Assembly talks.
