Glass falls in the penalty box of official working NHL Bruins – Boston News, Weather, Sports

BOSTON (AP) — The Boston Bruins’ playoff game against the Carolina Hurricanes was delayed by about seven minutes Friday night when part of the glass fell on an NHL official working the penalty area.
The game was called dead at 5:07 of the second period and medical staff raced across the ice to tend to the official, who was not immediately identified. He was set down on a stretcher and cheered on by the Boston fans.
The glass separated the Boston penalty area from the stands. Play resumed with a policeman in the stands to maintain a barrier.
