previously on Power Book II: Spirit Season 3 Episode 2, Tariq, Brayden, Effie and Cane split up Noma’s product to push it. Lorenzo sets in motion a plan to stop Monet from following his trail after she orders him to find Zeke’s killer. Cane investigates what happened in the Mecca Hangar.

At Power Book II: Spirit Season 3 Episode 3, Obi has doubts about Tariq, Brayden, Cane and Effie’s efforts to transport drugs from the start. He gives the quartet an ultimatum to sell $1 million worth of product next time they come back, or else Cane’s sister, Brayden’s parents, and Tariq’s grandmother are killed for every million not returned to the drug organization.
Effie confessed to Tariq that she wanted to start selling drugs through Stansfield again. After learning how cautiously she moves, he approves. (She also roasted him for not having a car, LOL!)
Concerned about his little sister, Cane visited her school to give her a gun for protection and invited her to the penthouse. Cane later presented the plan to Lorenzo, Dru and Diana. They were now forced to listen to Cane blackmail his father (although this baffled the siblings). They devised a plan to eliminate a Russian competitor as a new supplier.
Monet’s feathers ruffle
Det. Whitman confronted Monet at her bar and asked her to come to the precinct “to talk.” He even suspected their bar was clean because it was a crime scene. Monet visited Davis to arrange a meeting with her and her attorney.
When Monet and Davis spoke to Whitman, he accused them of murdering GTG gang members who frequented their bar. He tried to get up Monet by accusing her of killing Zeke! Davis was concerned that Whitman would do more about the deaths of GTG gang members. The duo hatched a plan to thwart Whitman with Tariq…
Coffee & Crypto
Ron Samuel Jenkins (aka RSJ, portrayed by Gbenga Akinnagbe) is one of the richest investors in the world. Lucas gathered Brayden and Tariq to meet the wealthy man who was trying to poach him as a client. Tariq pulled him aside to ask a business question. Tariq made a great first impression on the billionaire.
Meanwhile, Tariq and Brayden laid out a plan for Wall Street brokers to buy “coffee” and have drugs delivered personally to their desks. The payment went through crypto and was flushed. Also, Cane and Dru would continue to sell on the street.
In private, Cane tasked Brayden with a hit from a Russian supplier. They needed him away so they could supply his buyers. Brayden tells Tariq and Effie of Cane’s request. They needed a “white” to make the hit. Tariq tried to get Brayden out of the hot seat, but it was time for him to do some dirty work…
Missed hit
When Tariq met up with Monet and Davis, he learned how close Whitman was on to them. However, Saxe spotted the meeting and snuck a photo (for Jenny Sullivan!)
Whitman confronted Sullivan and Rodriguez about their RICO case stalling, so Jenny redirected by asking Rashad Tate for help.
When Diana confronted Effie about Stansfield being a dangerous place, Effie redirected and asked her to work with them. Diana refused to do illegal business.
Saxe met with Theodore Rollins (now portrayed by Jordan Mahome, formerly portrayed by Redman in Season 2), he learned that Theo and Davis were brothers.
Brayden botched the shot at the Russian, so Tariq rushed in and killed the man for him. Although the pair were spotted by the Russian’s thugs, they didn’t catch them.
Tariq asked Effie to be his Bonnie for his Clyde. He told her that his mother was the mastermind behind his parents’ criminal enterprise. He wanted her to be just like her…

Cane, Lorenzo and Dru met with GTG executives to become their new suppliers. They learned that there was a “black shooter,” and Dru confronted his father and brother about Cane’s sudden existence responsible.
Davis confronted Saxe about visiting Theo in prison. Saxe refuted him and confronted him about actually committing the murder Theo was in prison for! Davis convinced Saxe to help him get Theo out of jail for overzealous police racist behavior.
Lorenzo visited Diana at school and asked her to sell drugs in Stansfield.
When Brayden met up with Cane, the idiot pointed a gun at him and interrogated him about who killed the Russian. Brayden was referring to someone other than Tariq. Cane let him go on the condition that Brayden still owed him a murder. Then he called Effie meet…
