Gavin Rubinstein on how he got started

It is like this at the moment Hit & Run on Netflix. It’s this thriller, set in Israel and New York, about an agent who works for the CIA and Mossad. Great escapism.

Which sentence do you overuse?

trust the process. say it daily I also often use “hundred percent”, but it’s always “hundred percent” and never just “hundred percent”.

What did you want to do when you grew up?

I wanted to be a professional surfer (although I’ve never surfed in my life). But it looked cool.

what was your first job

McDonald’s on Bondi Beach. I worked the front counter, then moved to the back, flipping burgers and mopping floors. It was the first opportunity I had to earn my own income. McDonald’s is the perfect training ground for anyone involved in business.

Facebook or Instagram?

Instagram. It’s changed a lot, but for me it’s a huge source of inspiration and news. I don’t use it to catch up with friends; it’s more about finding content that motivates me.
