A lazy parrot known for telling admirers to fuck off has been snapped.

Saucey, a bird notorious for his vulgar language, was taken from an enclosure in the Northeast last week along with his pal Fozzy.

Police are searching for the thieves after the Gray Africans were removed from Saltwell Park.

The parrots were smuggled out of an animal enclosure in the popular park before being rushed away in a nearby car.

Visitors to the Gateshead enclosure were used to being greeted cheekily when they came too close to Saucey’s cage.

He is believed to have acquired his penchant for fruity language from a parrot previously kept there that mimicked X-rated words he heard before he was adopted.

Investigators are concerned about the condition of the birds after being away from their trained keepers for nearly a week.

A Northumbria Police spokesman said: “None of the birds are ringed and park staff are increasingly concerned for the welfare of Fozzy and Saucey as they need to be kept as a pair.

“One bird alone will soon find itself in distress.

“Saucey has been known to repeat language he hears, including some swearing, making him very distinctive.”
