Franklin County man wanted for child trafficking

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Mo. — Federal, state and local authorities in Franklin County are asking the public for help in locating a fugitive wanted for child sex crimes.
On December 8, the US Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Missouri issued a federal arrest warrant for Donald Eugene Fields II. The day before he was charged with child trafficking.
At a Dec. 20 news conference, members of the FBI’s St. Louis office said Fields is still believed to be in Franklin or Phelps counties. He is also known for frequent visits to casinos in the greater St. Louis area.

Authorities allege Fields trafficked at least one underage girl between January 2013 and June 2017.
Fields also faces charges of statutory rape, statutory sodomy, child abuse and witness tampering in Franklin County Circuit Court. The court issued a local arrest warrant after he failed to show up for a hearing on March 3, 2022.
A co-defendant, identified as Theodore “Ted” Sartori Sr., has previously been charged and arrested on the same charges. Sartori pleaded not guilty last week.
Prosecutors allege Sartori, 62, provided Fields with cash, cars, motorcycles, vacations and gifts to gain access to the underage victim.
Both men are accused of attempting to recruit, entice, nurture and patronize the victim into engaging in commercial sexual activity.
If convicted, the sex trafficking charges carry a sentence of from 10 years to life in prison and a $250,000 fine.
Anyone with information on Fields’ whereabouts can contact them local FBI office or local law enforcement by dialing 911.
