Fox News staffers trash ‘unprofessional’ Tucker Carlson

The Dominion lawsuit against Fox News has mounted with one damning revelation after another. Not that viewers would know; They barely mentioned it on the show but just carried on as usual. But when Tucker Carlson goes on the air to downplay the January 6 riot once again, the behind-the-scenes staff freak out. They’re mad at upper management. And they’re mad at Tucker.

A new report from The daily beast speaks to numerous employees and insiders – all anonymously, of course. The mood there is somber. “We’re not happy,” a reporter told them bluntly. A producer added, “It’s just a really bad time to be working here.” But while they have plenty of anger at higher-ups who have given them “no guidance” on how to deal with one apocalyptic message after another.

Then there’s Tucker. “He acts like the King of Fox,” said one producer. “Challenging. Extremely unprofessional.”

A correspondent went even further. “Honestly, Tucker is a joke, and I don’t know many in the news department who like or respect him,” they said. “It makes our jobs more difficult and a lot more dangerous.”

Indeed, not long before Tucker’s Tuesday night show, Bret Baier aired a report brutally criticizing his widely condemned coverage of newly available January 6 footage, which the host had predictably cut into segments depicting the violent insurgents like friendly tourists let look. Tucker’s reports have been criticized by Democrats and Republicans alike, but it’s clear his own peers don’t like that they somehow make their already untrustworthy network look even less reputable.
