At least four people died when a five-story apartment block collapsed in Russia.

Emergencies Ministry employees were seen at work in the collapsed building in Nizhnevartovsk, Russia.

Two stories in a five-story apartment building collapsed overnight, killing at least four people and injuring four others, according to emergency services.

More victims could be under the rubble. Rescue workers and firefighters work at the scene of the accident to clear debris.

It is believed to have been a gas explosion that caused the damage, local Russian news agencies report.
