Former Employee Predicts Ross Haircuts for Just $0.49

TikToker @orlandoqponqueen says discounter Ross is likely to have discounted many of its items down to $0.49 in a video showing what’s on offer at their local Ross store, particularly holiday-themed items.

“For those who don’t know, in January a lot of things are discounted to 49 cents, which is less than $2,” she says in the video.

The video shows her going through different categories of items such as: B. slippers, holiday-themed beauty items, and other merchandise that she predicts will be available at significant discounts after the Christmas holidays.

The video has been viewed over 5.1 million times, and several Ross employees shared their thoughts in the comments.

“I worked at Ross for 5 years and I reduced certain items to 0.49 cents because they are being returned,” wrote one commenter. “Wash clothes before wearing!”

“I used to work at Ross and while that’s true, the staff can’t show you [where] all that stuff is because they don’t know either, it really is a treasure hunt!” another explained. “The best way to score points is to find items with a RED ticket. Also go through all releases. If you go horseback riding a lot and see the same items you can ask if they were missed when teeing off, but please don’t if they are busy!”

“The cheaper items are ONLY holiday leftovers and returned clothing/handling!” added a third. “I’ve worked for Ross for 3 years.”

In a follow-up video, @orlandoqponqueen addressed some of those concerns, saying that she worked for Ross for seven years and knows “the ins and outs” of the way stores are stocked and valued.

“I know this video may not get the same views as the other one, but I just want you guys to respect the workers,” she said. “Let them work and don’t hover over them.”
