Ford is recalling 1.5 million vehicles to repair brake hoses and wiper arms

DETROIT – Ford is recalling more than 1.5 million vehicles in the US in two actions to fix leaking brake hoses and wiper arms that can rupture.
The largest of two recalls affects nearly 1.3 million midsize Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKX cars from 2013 to 2018. The company says front brake hoses can rupture and brake fluid can leak in documents released by safety agencies on Friday. That would increase brake pedal travel and increase braking distance.
Dealers replace the hoses. Ford will be sending out notification letters to owners beginning April 17. You will receive a second letter once parts are available for repair.
Ford says it is aware of an accident with no mention of injuries from the issue.
The second recall affects more than 222,000 2021 F-150 pickups. Wiper arms can break.
Vendors will replace weapons as needed. Owners will be notified beginning March 27th.
