Fired Taco Bell worker shares the horrors she endured at work

A former Taco Bell employee shared a slideshow of the horrors she endured while working for the fast-food company in a viral TikTok.

The video was uploaded by TikTok user Sky (@gripysocksky). “Moments at work at Taco Bell that changed my brain chemistry,” reads the overlay text on the first photo. The user then takes viewers through a series of mishaps she allegedly experienced while working at Taco Bell.

On the first slide, she shows a photo of iced coffee spilled all over the floor and something on her pants. She explains in the lyrics how a customer “threw his iced coffee at her” because “he thought she was spitting on it.” The following slide was an X-ray of her broken wrist. She captioned it, “My wrist broke when I slipped on one of the customer pees in the lobby.”

Afterwards, she recounts how a customer named “Big Rick” “tried to fight her” because she forgot the water cups. The next slide shows Sky outside with a tablet in inclement weather. According to Sky, one of the managers forced her to take orders in “bad weather”. Then she shows the horrors of food, from inedible-looking refried beans and undercooked noodles to black beans mixed with refried beans. She also shares a photo of D-grade beef in “cute little bags” for workers to reheat.

SKy’s latest photo slides show her experiencing panic attacks on a daily basis, dealing with customers paying in foreign currency and hitting her head while taking out the trash but being forced to keep working because she was “under Lack of staff” stood. She ends the slideshow by recounting how a customer once ordered 120 tacos before driving off. Luckily, she says, the crew was able to feed them to the homeless living next to their dumpsters.

The Daily Dot has contacted Sky via TikTok comment and Taco Bell via press email regarding the video. The video had 2.3 million views as of Feb. 6, with former and current Taco Bell reportedly confirming that TikTok is pretty accurate when it comes to working for the fast-food chain.

“As a Taco Bell employee, yes. That sounds like my taco bell,” one employee claimed.

“As a Taco Bell executive, that’s correct and all of these things have happened at least once in my business,” confirmed a second.

“As a former Taco Bell employee, I’m glad someone finally did it,” wrote another.

Despite Taco Bell’s negative portrayal, several other users indicated that they would still eat there.

“I saw this and looked at food pictures and I was still like, mmm, I’m hungry for Taco Bell,” said one.

“The craziest thing is I still eat there tbh,” commented a second.

“I still eat it,” said a third.
