Fire Rescue Victoria suffers IT failure – hardware – network – software

Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) is currently experiencing a widespread IT systems outage.

The service initially confirmed the failure publicly in one tweet at 10:45 a.m.

“FRV has technical problems with our IT systems,” it said.

“Crews and trucks continue to be deployed in response to incidents and community safety has not been compromised.

“We will provide more information as it becomes available.

“The community should continue to call 000 in an emergency.”

The Fire Rescue Victoria website was briefly unavailable but has been restored with a brief explanation.

According to the ABC, The outage also affects Fire Rescue Victoria’s phone system.

That ABC said Premier Dan Andrews was informed.
