Father drowns while fishing with son after saving two other children in lake | US News

Pictured: Marvin Alexan Fernandez ChicasOur beloved Marvin passed away on Thursday 29th June 2023. He was a man who liked to fish and that day he did what he wanted along with some friends and his son. Sadly, he drowned in the lake at his death, making life for two children who would also drown with him, he became a hero to everyone. He died, leaving behind his 3-year-old son. Some of the extra money we can donate could go to help raise little Dylan, who will need us greatly. I am here on behalf of his wife, his brothers and his mother, all coming together and donating whatever they can to help cover the cost of bringing his body home so that his mother who is in Honduras can say goodbye to him.

A father who was fishing with his son and couldn’t swim drowned after rescuing two children.

Marvin Alexan Fernandez Chicas was at Lake Nockamixon with his three-year-old son Dylan and some friends when he “drowned in the lake and gave his life for two children,” his family explained on a GoFundMe page.

“They obviously got into trouble in the water, he went in to help them,” said Haycock Township Fire Chief Harry Grim WFMZ.

“Unfortunately he can’t swim.” “The kids came out, he didn’t.”
