Fatal accident under investigation in Miami Gardens after car crashed into tree

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to a fatal crash early Sunday morning.

Officers closed Northwest 183rd Street off 27th Avenue in Miami Gardens after the wreck.

According to police, a driver crashed into a tree at high speed after losing control of the car.

Rescue workers took the driver and two passengers to hospital in critical condition, but said another passenger died at the scene.

Investigators do not say what caused the driver to crash.
