Fans who purchased The Cure tickets will receive Ticketmaster refunds
Has Evil Be Defeated by Ticketmaster? After upsetting several artists and their respective fan bases, Robert Smith and The Cure appear to have been able to put some sanity into the ticket giant.
Yesterday (March 15), Smith and several fans of The Cure expressed their grief to Ticketmaster when they were faced with high prices when trying to buy tickets for the band’s upcoming tour.
Today Smith took to Twitter and revealed that he had met with Ticketmaster and discussed this fiasco. In return, Ticketmaster partially reimburses fans for the excessive fees they paid.
“AFTER FURTHER DISCUSSION, TICKETMASTER AGREED WITH US THAT MANY OF THE FEES CHARGED ARE UNREASONABLY HIGH AND HAVE OFFERED A $10 PER TICKET REFUND TO ALL VERIFIED FAN ACCOUNTS FOR TRANSACTIONS WITH THE LOWEST PRICES OF TICKET (‘LTP’). ‘ said Smith.
