Why would Rockstar add this? (Image: Twitter)

A mysterious new photo has been added to the GTA: Sand Andreas remaster, which may be intended as a reference to GTA 6.

With so little official information to go on, Grand Theft Auto fans have been capturing just about everything over the past few years hoping it’s a reference or reference to GTA 6.

Worst of all, until the game comes out, there’s no way of knowing if these were hints or just people fussing about nothing, but there’s definitely a weird new addition to the San Andreas Definitive Edition.

The framed photo above has mysteriously appeared in the recent remaster, and no one is sure why or what it’s meant to represent, despite being a GTA Insider Matheusvictorbr claims they’ve had confirmation that the image is from “the next title in the Grand Theft Auto series.”

Some fans have suggested it’s actually a reference to 2011’s Rockstar game LA Noire, but the house isn’t identical to any from the game, and that doesn’t answer why anyone would bother like that to add something.

Considering how fast and buggy the Definitive Editions were, you wouldn’t have thought anyone would have time for anything other than essential work.

According to Matheusvictorbr- via Google Translate, the in-game location is inspired by the suburbs near Hollywood, Florida.

Although this has never happened before in the games, Vice City is said to be in Florida, as an analogue of Miami, and many previous rumors suggest that the setting of GTA 6 will return there.

So just that the new photo is included in the San Andreas remaster, does that mean both cities will be included in the new game? And maybe Liberty City too?

Only Rockstar can answer that, and while they’ve said the game is “well underway,” even the most optimistic estimate of the release date doesn’t put it any earlier than 2024.
