FanDuel NBA DFS roster selection (August 12, 21): Daily fantasy basketball tips

Happy Wednesday, RotoBallers, and welcome to December! I hope this week of NBA DFS has treated you well. I’m continuing to work on my NBA model, trying to gather more information to make sure you’re all as well-equipped as possible when it comes to each option. Even with the small tweaks I’ve made so far, it seems to be working. I am trying to implement different elements to separate cash options from GPP options. I will continue to update you with all the tweaks I make and with all that said, let’s get started tonight!

Tonight we have a big table, with nine games mined. With FanDuel adding eligible players in multiple slots, we’ll have to attack other blocking vehicles a bit to make our roster as optimal as possible. That’s where I come in! I’ll be looking for my personal top plays and values for tonight’s pick. Things can also change during the day, so I’ll do my best to update as news comes out!

Here’s mine Daily FanDuel fantasy basketball lineup selection on 12/8/21. You can also check today DraftKings NBA DFS lineup selection. Follow RotoBaller trauma news to stay updated before the lineup is locked.

FanDuel Guards – NBA DFS roster selection

Malcolm Brogdon, PG/SG – vs. NY ($7,400)

I wrote to Brogdon last week and he delivered with a massive 56.7 points performance. He averaged 37.66 FanDuel points in his last four games and tonight I was predicting him to hit 40.39 FanDuel points. He’s got a strong game against the Knicks, who are 22nd in point guard effectiveness and are on the back foot, so I expect Brogdon and the Pacers to explode to take down New York.

Spencer Dinwiddie, PG – at DET ($5,400)

I also wrote about Dinwiddie last week, and while he didn’t perform as well as Brogdon, he put on a respectable 25.7 FanDuel performance. I predicted him to hit 29.75 FanDuel points tonight, with a value of 5.51x. He has the best match of any point guard on the leaderboard against the Pistons, who are 27th in point guard effectiveness. I still don’t trust him with the cash, but I think he’s a viable GPP player as I wouldn’t predict him to be a high possessor.

Cody Martin, SG/PG – vs PHI ($5,000)

Cody Martin was the focus of the night on Monday, and he is likely to return tonight. He had a disappointing performance on Monday, scoring just 23.2 FanDuel points. He has a chance for revenge tonight against Philly in the second half of the home and away games, and my early predictions had him at 28.1 FanDuel points. Philly was very hard on the point guard, ranking tenth in effectiveness, but with LaMelo Ball, Terry Rozier and Ish Smith All out, the value is too good here.

Also consider: Tyrese Haliburton ($6,200), Patty Mills ($4,900)

FanDuel Forwards – NBA DFS roster selection

Kelly Oubre, SF/SG – vs PHI ($6,800)

Another Hornet could be chalk, Oubre has really supported Charlotte in the past two games. He put on a 59.5 FanDuel performance Monday night against the Sixers, and while I don’t expect a repeat performance, I think he’s the ultimate in tonight’s standings. I was predicting Oubre to hit 42.3 FanDuel points, which is over 6x the value. Oubre is also in the same situation as Martin, as the Sixers are generally difficult against small bodyguards/forwards. His usage should be through the roof, though, and if his previous performance is any indication, Oubre is going to have a great night.

LaMarcus Aldridge, PF/C – at HOU ($5,600)

Aldridge has been playing quite well in recent times, averaging 26 FanDuel points in his last four games. He has a solid game against the Rockets tonight, the team that ranks 27th in efficiency rating versus centers. His minutes will be a direct factor in his imagined outcome tonight, and right now I’ve given him an expected 28 minutes. He only played 23 minutes in last night’s game against Dallas, so he’ll have some good runs tonight. Currently, I have predicted him to hit 32.44 FanDuel points, which equates to a value of 5.79.

Chris Duarte, SF – vs. NY ($4,800)

The second Pacer I’m watching is Chris Duarte, who took a step back with the arrival of Caris LeVert in the Pacers’ roster. However, Duarte’s price has dropped accordingly, making him a solid leverage/GPP game. While he has a pretty tough game tonight against the Knicks, who are 12th in small forward effectiveness, my initial prediction was 27.08 FanDuel points, good for a value of 5.64. I really like him in tonight’s GPPs, but I’ll avoid him for cash.

Also consider: Caris LeVert ($5,100), Aaron Gordon ($5,600)

FanDuel Center – NBA DFS Squad Selection

Myles Turner, C/PF – vs. NY ($6,300)

Rounding the paper on the Pacers side is Myles Turner. Turner hasn’t had a couple of great recent games, averaging just 27.75 FanDuel points compared to his 32.3 points for the season. As I mentioned to Brogdon, though, the Knicks are on the back foot, so we can expect some weary feet. The Knicks ranked 17th in the efficiency rating against centers and my early predictions had him at 33.37 FanDuel points, good for a value of 5.3x.

Wendell Carter Jr., C/PF – vs SAC ($6,500)

I don’t know what to do when Magic isn’t playing on Wednesday or Friday. I love Wendell Carter, and FanDuel doesn’t budge on his price. Carter is averaging 33.01 FanDuel points in his last three games and is now the best of all players tonight with the Kings coming in at 30th in average efficiency. heart. My initial predictions had the cart at 35.38 FanDuel points, good for a value of 5.44x. I feel comfortable playing Carter for cash if I want to pay for a stud in another location.

Also consider: Montrezl Harrell ($5,500), Jusef Nurkic ($6,300)
