We’ll be taking in a softer means of prediction on Tuesday, as only three matches are set to finish. While any kind of basketball is a win, it can certainly make it hard to stand out from your squad. As always, we’re breaking down my favorite FanDuel play by Tuesday’s block vehicle. First, let’s look at three games.
- BKN @ DAL O / U – 215.5
- NYK @ SAS O / U – 212
- BOS @ LAL O / U 218.5
As mentioned before, three games make it difficult for squad building to stand out from the group. Honestly, everyone and their mom will have some variation Kevin Durant, James Harden, or Anthony Davis in their lineup on Tuesday. The trick is to stand out. While it’s usually a safe bet to throw Durant in your squad, he loses a bit of value when more than 50% of your FanDuel tournament is already hosted by them. It is imperative to find people who may be intrigued. Pair Kevin Durant With Someone Like One Obi Toppin or Jalen Brunson only makes sense. With that said, let’s dive into my favorite FanDuel plays for Tuesday’s blocking medium.

FanDuel Guards – NBA DFS roster selection
Dennis Schroder – PG, BOS @ LAL ($5,200)
It’s been said countless times over the past few weeks but in case you missed it: Schroder is the one to play when Jaylen Brown to sit. He’s scored just under 24 points, 4 rebounds and 4.5 assists with a 29% utilization rate in 22 games without Brown this season. The second player with the problem will play on Tuesday and head coach Ime Udoka has stated that the team want to get him 100% before he returns. This could very well be another Schroder game against the Lakers.
Jalen Brunson – PG, DAL vs BKN ($5,300)
Brunson has been very solid so far this season and while he’s boosted when Luka Doncic sitting, he provides some nice indie value even when he plays. The problem Luka will play on Tuesday and he’s back in training, so all signs point to him picking up. This makes Brunson a sneaky opposing playstyle, as it’s likely to be swinging elsewhere with Luka in the lineup. He can still generate just under 1.0 FanDuel points per minute with healthy Luka.
Dejounte Murray – PG, SAS vs. NYK ($9,900)
Murray has been the money this season, seemingly flirting with a brace every time he hits the floor and becoming the Spurs’ de facto number one pick. He’s scored no less than 45 FD points in each of his last six games and has a defensively struggling Knicks lineup by the end of the game. Spurs will play on the second night of the game against each other but they will be at home, so there is no reason to fade Murray here.

FanDuel Forwards – NBA DFS roster selection
Jayson Tatum – SF/PF, BOS@LAL ($9,700)
Tatum has simply been in tears in his last three games, averaging more than 50 FD points per game. Much of that increase can be attributed to the absence of Jaylen Brown, who is in question because of a hamstring injury. Even with Brown matching the clothes, Tatum looks a bit short of a Lakers team under .500. Not to mention the public will probably pay for Kevin Durant or LeBron James. Regardless, it wasn’t long ago when Tatum burned through the Lakers to a 64 FD point a few weeks ago.
Kristaps Porzingis – PF/C, DAL vs BKN ($8,500)
Porzingis was upgraded to probable after missing the last two games in time for a eye-popping showdown with the Nets. There’s nobody in the Nets’ frontline at his level, and he could command some extra uses if Luka Doncic is below 100% or sidelined, as both are abilities at the moment. Either way, The Unicorn has suffered a knee injury and will be looking to get back on track in Tuesday’s primetime game. Take advantage of his discounted rate in an extra match!
Julius Randle – PF, NYK @ SAS ($8,700)
Randle returned to the track after two skates last week and is now averaging just under 50 FD points in each of his three most recent competitions. Spurs haven’t been able to dampen the opposition all this season and are now far behind in 7th place in FD points. Randle found himself in a great game with the Spurs playing on the second night of the head-to-head.
FanDuel Center – NBA DFS Squad Selection
Jakob Poeltl – C, SAS vs. NYK ($6,500)
Poeltl has not scored less than 30 FD points in each of his last six games as he has rediscovered form after a long break due to COVID-19. Even better, he finds himself in a dream game against the Knicks, who are giving up the second most FD points per game to opposing centers this season. I want to implement Poeltl for others more expensive Al Horford, who will compete with Robert Williams in minutes.
Dwight Howard – C, LAL vs. BOS ($5,200)
Also consider: Anthony Davis ($10,000), LaMarcus Aldridge ($5,600)
