Chelsea are close to announcing their £47.5million deal to sign Raheem Sterling from Manchester City but Thomas Tuchel is keen to add another attacker to his squad.
A £55m deal has been agreed for Raphinha with Leeds United but the Brazil international is awaiting a move to Barcelona.
Chelsea are understood to have made an initial approach to Gnabry as they explore alternative options to Raphinha.
But according to Bild, Gnabry doesn’t see Chelsea as a possibility because of his Arsenal connections.
The report claims that the Germany international doesn’t want to play for another club in London after Arsenal.
Gnabry originally joined Arsenal aged 16 but after failing to secure a regular role in the team under Arsene Wenger, the winger joined Werder Bremen for £5million.
The 26-year-old has just one year left on his contract with Bayern and has so far not accepted the offer of a new deal.
Last month, Bayern’s sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic suggested Gnabry could be sold if he refuses to renew his contract.
“We definitely want to keep him,” said Salihamidzic.
“I hope he chooses Bayern. If a player doesn’t want to join the club, we’ll find a solution that makes everyone happy.”
