Evil Genius Beer Heads West as Company Begins National Expansion – NBC10 Philadelphia

Evil Genius Beer Co. is expanding into Ohio and Michigan as it significantly ramps up production while anticipating further growth opportunities for years to come. The Philadelphia Business Journal reports.

The Philadelphia brewery will launch in June in its two new markets, beginning with Cleveland and Columbus in Ohio and Detroit and Ann Arbor in Michigan. Its current footprint includes Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

Products heading to Ohio and Michigan include Stacy’s Mom Citra IPA at 7.5% ABV, chocolate peanut butter porter Purple Monkey Dishwasher at 6.7% and cloudy mango IPA There’s No Crying in Baseball” with 6%. said co-owner Luke Bowen. Canned beers will be sold at major retailers such as Giant Eagle, Whole Foods, Acme Fresh Market and Buehler’s, while draft beers will also be available in bars and restaurants across the states.
