In 2003, Holmes founded Theranos, a $9 billion biotechnology start-up in Silicon Valley. She claimed the company revolutionized blood testing technology to diagnose a variety of diseases with just a few drops of blood. In 2015, however, the truth emerged – Theranos’ technology didn’t work. Per a Wall Street Journal Exposé, company executives manipulated the research and defrauded investors out of a staggering $700 million.

Eleven months later, she was sentenced to eleven years and three months in prison on multiple counts.The disgraced tech guru must be monitored for three years after her release and must pay a $100 fine for each fraud conviction Despite everything C haos, however, Evans remains a loyal husband to the former CEO. Who is Billy Evans?

Evans grew up near San Diego and attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he earned a bachelor’s degree in economics in 2015.

After graduating, Evans attempted to create a luxury healthcare start-up that would transport wealthy Chinese clients to the United States for medical care through a concierge, with amenities like chauffeur service, beautiful hotels, and world-class healthcare. New York Post reported – although the project never came to fruition.

The tech guru’s first official job out of college was at LinkedIn, where he served as an analyst for the strategy and analytics leadership program from July 2015 to 2017. He then moved to Luminar Technologies, which makes sensors for self-driving cars, and took on that role of Special Projects Manager. He was working there when he and Holmes began their relationship.

How did Elizabeth Holmes meet Billy Evans?

The couple met at a party in the San Francisco Bay Area in 2017, about two years after Elizabeth’s cheating was exposed. The hotel heiress told friends that she was not as she was portrayed in the media.

“Days later I was hanging out with Billy and he said, ‘You won’t believe who I met! She is not what the articles make her out to be,” a colleague told dem New York Post.

Cut to 2019 and the two were engaged. Evans proposed with his varsity ring from MIT instead of going down the more traditional diamond route. The heir to the hotel always wore his class ring on his little finger – it was very special to him and now he gave it to her.

When did Elizabeth Holmes marry Billy Evans?

Rumors began to circulate when page six reported that the news was leaked on the podcast bitch Sesh, a Real housewives Podcast, in June 2019 during a live event in San Francisco.

vanity fair Reporter Nick Bilton shared an episode of the Inside the Hive podcast in 2019., “I heard that no people from Theranos were invited, which is interesting because she’s still friends with some of her Theranos people.”

Do Elizabeth Holmes and Billy Evans have children?

The couple’s eldest child, William Holmes Evans, was born on July 10, 2021 in Redwood City, California.

In March 2021, she told the court that she expected to move forward with the case for a fourth time, after it had previously been delayed three times due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Holmes is currently pregnant with her and Evans’ second child.

Who plays Billy Evans in The Dropout?
