Everton are demanding around £50m to part ways with Anthony Gordon after rejecting an initial offer from Chelsea for the midfielder.

The highly-rated 21-year-old has attracted interest from across the Premier League this summer.

Tottenham tried to lure Gordon away from Goodison Park in a package deal to sign Richarlison in July but the Toffees were unwilling to do business.

Newcastle, meanwhile, have expressed interest but have been put off by Everton’s stance after the Toffees rejected an approach worth around £30m.

Chelsea have since taken the lead in the race to sign the Englishman and the Times say they have submitted an offer of around £40m for the midfielder’s signing.

However, Frank Lampard is keen on keeping Gordon and wary of allowing another attacking player to leave the club.

But SkySports say Everton will be reluctant to allow Gordon to leave the club provided Chelsea meet the asking £50m asking price.

Thomas Tuchel is ready to see Hakim Ziyech and Callum Hudson-Odoi leave Stamford Bridge this summer, with Christian Pulisic also available.

The German wants to play with a more fluid front after the departure of Romelu Lukaku and the takeover of Raheem Sterling.

Chelsea were denied three points against rivals Tottenham on Sunday when Harry Kane equalized in the 96th minute.

Kalidou Koulibaly and Reece James struck on either side of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s equaliser, but Kane struck late to secure part of the spoils.

Antonio Conte and Tuchel were both sent off after full-time after colliding while the two were shaking hands.

The coaches had both previously received yellow cards when Tuchel was furious at the referee’s failure to award a free-kick ahead of Hojbjerg’s equaliser.
